About Casey Neistat
Casey Neistat is a filmmaker whose daily vlogs in 2015 and 2016 changed vlogging on YouTube, bringing cinematic editing and storytelling to everyday life.
Video one
His oldest public video, "Emergency Brake" from February 2010, is a short film made years before his daily vlog. Neistat was already an established filmmaker by then, with an HBO series and viral short films behind him.
The breakthrough
His daily vlog, filmed in New York with drone shots, timelapses and his signature boosted-board commutes, inspired a generation of creators. He co-founded the video app Beme, later acquired by CNN.
Today
Neistat founded 368, a space for creators to collaborate, and still posts occasional films and vlogs.
