About Dream

Dream is a Minecraft creator who became one of the platform's fastest-growing channels at the end of the 2010s. For years he kept his face hidden behind a simple smiley-face logo, before a face reveal in 2022.

Video one

He had been active online since 2014, but the oldest video still on his channel is "this cursed Minecraft video will trigger you..." from July 2019, a short meme-style clip from right before his rise.

The breakthrough

Later in 2019 he launched Minecraft Manhunt, a series in which he tries to beat the game while friends hunt him down. It became a phenomenon. Dream also became known for Minecraft speedrunning, although several of his records were later overturned because of evidence of cheating.

Today

His invite-only server, the Dream SMP, became a storytelling project that drew in many popular creators and a large fandom. He has also streamed on Twitch and released music.
