About Linus Tech Tips
Linus Tech Tips is one of the biggest tech channels in the world. It started as one man reviewing hardware and became a full media company.
Video one
The very first video, "Undisclosed AMD Processor at 3.6GHz (Linus Tech Tips #1)" from November 2008, was made by Linus Sebastian while he worked at a computer retailer.
The breakthrough
Linus and his wife, Yvonne Ho, founded Linus Media Group in 2012. Fun, well-researched videos on PC builds, hardware and experiments grew a huge audience, and the company launched spin-offs like Techquickie, TechLinked and ShortCircuit.
Today
Linus stepped down as CEO in 2023 but remains the face of the channel. The team runs several channels, a merch store and the LTX tech event.
