About Peter McKinnon
Peter McKinnon is a Canadian photographer and filmmaker whose energetic tutorials inspired a generation of creators to pick up a camera.
Video one
His oldest public video is "Beard Trim FAIL!!!" from November 2016, a lighthearted clip from when he started posting regularly.
The breakthrough
McKinnon began making tutorials because he couldn't find good, engaging ones himself. His cinematic editing tricks, coffee-fuelled enthusiasm and practical tips made his channel a go-to for aspiring photographers and filmmakers.
Today
He has released camera gear and merchandise with established brands, and describes his channel as "Art & The Creative Process (with a few too many coffees!)".
