About Vsauce

Vsauce is a channel by Michael Stevens, famous for videos that start with a simple question and end somewhere unexpected. Every episode opens with "Hey, Vsauce, Michael here."

Video one

Vsauce didn't start as a science channel. Its oldest public video, "Top E3 Rumors You MISSED" from June 2010, is a gaming news segment from when the channel covered games.

The breakthrough

Stevens' questions, like "What if everyone jumped at once?" or "How much does a shadow weigh?", turned Vsauce into one of the most influential educational channels on YouTube, and led to spin-off channels.

Today

Vsauce uploads less often, but its back catalogue remains hugely popular. Stevens also made the YouTube Premium series Mind Field.
