About MKBHD

Marques Brownlee, known as MKBHD, is widely considered one of the best technology reviewers in the world. His crisp, well-lit videos set the visual standard for tech YouTube.

Video one

He started as a teenager. His channel's oldest video is "13-Year-Old Golf Swing Analysis" from March 2008, before tech took over. His first tech videos soon followed: tutorials and reviews filmed with whatever gear he had.

The breakthrough

Throughout the early 2010s his careful, honest reviews earned a large following, including praise from inside the tech industry. The name stands for his initials, MKB, plus HD for high definition, a nod to his obsession with picture quality.

Today

MKBHD runs a full studio, hosts the Waveform podcast and has interviewed figures like Barack Obama and Elon Musk. Outside tech, he's a professional ultimate frisbee player and a world champion with New York PoNY.
