About Primitive Technology
Primitive Technology is John Plant's channel, in which he builds tools, huts and kilns in the Australian bush, using only natural materials and no talking.
Video one
The first video, "Wattle and Daub Hut" from May 2015, shows him building a small hut from sticks, mud and leaves, completely from scratch.
The breakthrough
His silent, patient videos, with strict rules of no modern tools (fire from a fire stick, axes from shaped stones), fascinated millions of viewers and inspired a wave of imitators.
Today
He continues to release primitive-technology projects, each one showing a new skill built from the ground up.
